Jeep is getting into the holiday spirit by announcing a new Freedom package for the 2023 Gladiator and Wrangler.

Designed to pay tribute to members of the United States military, the Freedom package turns the off-roaders in to military-themed special editions.

Available on Sport S trims, the package costs $3,295 and adds a winch-capable steel front bumper, rock rails, and black wheels. They’re joined by body-color fender flares as well as LED headlights and fog lamps. However, the models are most notable for featuring American flag decals on the front fenders as well as an Oscar Mike badge on the rear tailgate/swing gate.

Jeep didn’t release interior pictures, but said the Freedom package adds leather-trimmed cloth seats and black accent stitching. Since the models are based on the Sport S, drivers can also expect to find air conditioning, power windows / locks, and a 7-inch infotainment system.

The Freedom editions will be available to order this month for a “limited time” and Jeep will make a $250 donation to military charities for every special edition they sell. Furthermore, active and recently retired service members qualify for a $500 military cash bonus when they purchase or lease the vehicle.

Jeep North America boss Jim Morrison said, “With our 1941 origins rooted in the military, we at the Jeep brand are proud of our heritage, and the Gladiator and Wrangler Freedom editions are a tribute to all the servicemen and servicewomen.” He added, “Through these special editions, this Fourth of July we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and support those who have served and continue to serve.”
